Ben Simmons’ recovery is going as planned after a foot scan revealed no setbacks, according to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Simmons underwent a scheduled scan on his surgically repaired right foot on Monday. The Sixers said that while everything is going as planned, the No. 1 pick still does not have a timetable for a return to the court. “I’m just really happy with the path and plan we have in place for him,” coach Brett Brown told reporters. “It’s nice and slow. It’s not dramatic. It’s not anything that people should read into — here he is. It’s not that. It’s slowly building him up, very cautiously to a point where we can welcome him back, legitimately to the team.”

Ben Simmons, Donovan Mitchell Headline All Rookie Team
Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons and Utah’s Donovan Mitchell are unanimous selections to the NBA’s All-Rookie team. The two guards received all 100 first-place votes from a panel of sports writers and broadcasters. Both players helped their teams reach the second round of the playoffs.
Boston’s Jayson Tatum also was selected Tuesday to the first team, falling one vote short of unanimous. Simmons, Mitchell and Tatum are the three finalists for the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award.
Iguodala (Leg) Sits Out Warriors Game 4 Loss
Though the Golden State Warriors had upgraded Andre Iguodala to questionable from doubtful earlier Tuesday, the veteran missed his team’s 95-92 Game 4 loss to the Houston Rockets.
Iguodala sat out because of a bruise on his lower left leg, suffered when he banged knees with James Harden in Game 3.
Report: Warriors List Andre Iguodala Doubtful for Game 4
The Golden State Warriors have listed Andre Iguodala as doubtful for Tuesday’s Game 4 against the Houston Rockets.
Iguodala sustained a left leg contusion when he banged knees with James Harden in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals on Sunday night.
A Warriors source said the bruise got worse overnight, so Iguodala was held out of practice on Monday. The bruise is slightly below the knee.
Iguodala had an X-ray on Monday and it came back clean, but the team still listed him as doubtful Monday evening.
