Andray Blatche is leaving the NBA for China.

Blatche opted out of his contract with the Brooklyn Nets in July with the idea of hooking up with another NBA team.

Instead, he will play for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in Western China. Reports out of China on Saturday said that Blatche will make $2.5 million after taxes.

The Nets suspended Blatche in December for four games for “a lack of conditioning and preparedness.” He averaged 11.2 points and 5.3 rebounds a game last season for the Nets.

Blatche, who is a naturalized citizen of the Philippines, represented that country in the recent FIBA World Cup where he averaged 21.2 points and 13.8 rebounds in five games.

The Flying Tigers also have signed former Golden State and Boston guard Jordan Crawford.
