Rookie forward Jabari Parker impressed in his debut and center Larry Sanders shook off the rust in his first appearance in a competitive game since February.

Parker contributed 14 points and eight rebounds and seemed to find his rhythm in the second half. He opened the game at the power forward spot and went against Grizzlies veteran Zach Randolph.

(Coach Jason) Kidd liked the matchup for Parker’s first true NBA test.

“Zach is one of the best in the league, very physical,” Kidd said. “Jabari found that out very quickly. But this is all good stuff, great learning on the job.”
