Cavs’ Irving to Sit Back-to-Backs

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving did not play in Saturday’s 105-76 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. The plan for Irving to rest, with the Cavs playing in their first back-to-back games since Irving’s return nearly a week ago from a fractured left kneecap, is simply part of the team’s process to ease the three-time All-Star back toward a full workload.
