LeBron, Blatt Agree: Defense Needs Work
The Wine and Gold scrimmage on Wednesday night in theory was still practice. Guys are still trying to pick up David Blatt’s system on offense and defense.
Extra passes were made and it became contagious. Offense isn’t going to be the problem. It’s the defensive end that continues to need work.
(Said LeBron James:) “I’ve always been on some pretty good defensive teams when I was here and when I left…We have to defend to win. Obviously, offensively we’re going to be very good, but we have to defend too.”
“I thought defensively we were obviously not at the level that we need to be when it comes to playing real games in the NBA,” Blatt said following the scrimmage.
