Louisville forward Montrezl Harrell is returning to the school for his junior year.
Harrell, who is 6-foot-8, averaged 14 points and 8.4 rebounds per game last season.
Coach Rick Pitino said Monday he was “very excited to say the least” about Harrell’s decision to return, according to ESPN.com.
“He and Wayne (Blackshear) will be co-captains next season,” Pitino said. “I think he wants to come back and be a top-eight (draft) pick.”
—Michigan guard Glenn Robinson III is expected to announce this week he will forgo his final two years of eligibility and declare for the NBA Draft, the Boston Globe reported.
Robinson averaged 13.1 points and 4.4 rebounds this season for the Wolverines, who reached the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.
—Syracuse sophomore forward Jerami Grant is expected to announce that he will declare for the NBA draft, SI.com reported.
Several mock drafts project Grant as a first-round pick. He averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game last season.
—University of Arizona freshman forward Aaron Gordon will announce this week he is entering the NBA draft, Yahoo Sports reported.
Gordon, who is 6-foot-9, averaged 12.4 points and eight rebounds in 31.2 minutes this past season. He is projected by some draft sites as a top-10 pick.
