DeMarcus Cousins said he does not understand the Sacramento Kings’ decisions in the 2016 NBA draft but emphasized that he plans to “control what I can control.”

Cousins, while speaking to reporters Monday after Team USA’s practice in Las Vegas, was asked about the Kings’ moves in the draft last month, when they traded the No. 8 pick to the Phoenix Suns for a package that included the 13th and 28th picks.

“I can’t control [the draft decisions],” Cousins said. “I control what I can control. I don’t really understand it, but I do my job.”

Restricted free-agent center Mason Plumlee has agreed to a three-year, $41 million deal to return to the Denver Nuggets, league sources told ESPN.

Agent Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports and Denver president of basketball operations Tim Connelly reached agreement on the deal late Sunday night, league sources said.

With the deal, Denver was able to avoid Plumlee signing a $4.6 million qualifying offer for the 2017-18 season — which would’ve allowed him to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
