Notes from Yannis on his team:

*I’m betting heavily on the Orlando Magic thumping the Philadelphia 76ers. I was $200 short of being able to add Tobias Harris, but if I could have squeezed him in I definitely would have. I’m really confident in Payton and Vucevic’s ability to put up big numbers against a 76ers team that is completely uninterested in winning and will have a hard time matching up with the two of them in particular. I thought about going with Nerlens Noel as he’s very reasonably priced, but I think that Vucevic is going to keep him on the bench in foul trouble most of the night.

*Kyle Lowry has not picked up where he left off last year, but I’m really expecting the head-to-head match up against Rajon Rondo to bring out the best in him tonight. A fired up Lowry should be too much for Rondo to contain this soon back from injury.

*Speaking of fired up, although Jabari Parker has fairly average to start off his NBA career, I’m looking for his first “special” performance tonight against the team that he grew up loving. It may take Parker a few minutes to shake off the jitters that come with actually facing his favorite team for the first time, but in the end I think he’s going to put on a show against his hometown team.

*It’s well documented at this point that Kyrie Irving has gotten off to a slow start, and I think that tonight’s game in Utah is a real trap game for the Cavaliers. Like every other team in the league, the Jazz are going to be eager to try to make a statement against East’s favorites, while the Cavaliers probably feel like they can beat the Jazz on a bad day. While Burke hasn’t been great so far this year, he’s getting a lot of time and has been playing an aggressive style that I think could catch the Cavaliers’ guard by surprise a bit.
