Derek Fisher, it appears, is a firm believer in freedom of speech when it comes to conduct in the Knicks’ locker room.
He said before Sunday night’s game against Miami that he is OK with the way Amar’e Stoudemire decided to call out the team’s lack of effort in an ugly loss to Oklahoma City on Friday night.
“I think it shows some leadership from Amar’e, that he’s expressing how he feels about the team and his teammates and where we are as a group,” Fisher said. “I think it’s correct in terms of the assessment. And guys sometimes do that.”
