After leading by just four points at halftime, Florida Atlantic pulled away in the second half for a 74-49 victory over Warner University on Monday night in Boca Raton, Fla.

Florida Atlantic and Warner were tied 29-29 late in the first half, but the Owls scored four points in the final minute to go to the locker room up 33-29. It took the Owls less than four minutes to get the margin up to double digits at 41-31 early in the second half, and they kept building from there.

The Owls evened their record at 1-1 while dealing the visiting Royals their first loss in six games this season.

Forward Justin Raffington scored 15 points to lead the Owls and completed a double-double with a game-high 11 rebounds. Guard Jackson Trapp added 13 points, and guard Justin Massey had 12 for the Owls.

Guard Warren Hall and forward Bladimyr Santiago scored 15 points each to lead the Royals. Hall also topped Warner with six rebounds.

Florida Atlantic shot an even 50 percent from the field, making 23 of 46 field goal attempts, and finished 8-for-20 on 3-pointers. The Royals were a cold 34 percent, going 18-of-53 from the field overall and only 3-for-18 on 3-point tries.

The Owls outrebounded the Royals 40-27.
