Basketball Insiders has learned that unrestricted free agent shooting guard John Jenkins is no longer a client of BDA Sports Management. Jenkins, a 2012 first round draft pick of the Atlanta Hawks, appeared in just 37 games the past two seasons after playing in 61 contests as a rookie.

Jenkins showed promise in his first season under then head coach Larry Drew, but struggled to find a niche in current head coach Mike Budenholzer’s system the past two campaigns. A back injury suffered during the 2013-14 season didn’t help the transition.

Last October, the Hawks declined to pick up Jenkins’ fourth year rookie option which paved the way to his upcoming free agency. There were reports of the Hawks being open to dealing the guard at this year’s trade deadline but nothing materialized.

In 98 career regular season games, Jenkins has posted averages of 5.6 points and 1.6 rebounds while connecting on 38 percent of his shots from three-point range.

UPDATE: Unrestricted free agent John Jenkins has signed with Relativity Sports, where he’ll be represented by Dan Fegan and Dan Frank, according to Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders.
