The Indiana Pacers held leading scorer Paul George out of contact during Thursday’s practice and his status remains uncertain for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals on Saturday.

George, wearing a red vest, participated in shooting drills with teammates but was held out of the contact portion of practice after suffering a concussion on Tuesday night.

The Pacers are not likely to determine whether George is cleared to play until hours before Saturday’s game in Miami. The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1 after the Heat’s 87-83 victory in Game 2 in Indianapolis.

George was dazed in the fourth quarter on Tuesday night after he was kicked in the head by Miami guard Dwyane Wade during a scramble for a loose ball. George blacked out and had blurred vision but went back into the game after a timeout.

Test on Wednesday revealed that George had sustained a concussion. In order to resume playing, he will be required to pass tests by the team doctor and NBA neurologist.

George had 22 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and four turnovers on Tuesday night.
