Two Memphis Grizzlies players are headed back to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League.

Forward/center Jarnell Stokes is bound for Iowa for the fifth time, while guard Russ Smith is set for his second stint with the Energy.

Stokes started four times among his 17 games for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds. In 10 previous games (one start) for Iowa, he produced averages of 12.5 points and 9.1 rebounds.

The Utah Jazz made Stokes a second-round draft pick last year, then dealt him to Memphis for a 2016 second-round pick.

Smith managed averages of 1.4 points and 0.4 assists in seven games as a reserve for the Grizzlies and the New Orleans Pelicans. He put up 16.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and four assists on average in 16 games (three starts) with the Energy.

The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Smith in the second round last year before dealing him to the Pelicans the next day. Memphis acquired him in a three-team trade last month.
