Haywood: No Veteran Leadership in NBA

More than three decades later, (Spencer Haywood) he’s championing a very different cause: He wants to help undo the current one-and-done rule that he had so much to do with causing in the first place.

“You have no locker room camaraderie,” he said of today’s NBA. “You have no veteran leadership. It’s just young guys making up their own rules as they go. They don’t have the examples to show them what this game is all about. So it’s going to hurt the league, and it’s definitely hurting college basketball.”
