Hornets Send Shabazz Napier to Miami

The Miami HEAT have been rumored to have serious interest in Shabazz Napier for days, so it makes sense that they sacrificed a 2nd round pick to move up two spots to ensure that they got him.  The trade was with the Charlotte Hornets, who had their sights set on P.J. Hairston and ended up him, along with the second-rounder from Miami, in the deal.

They (Utah Jazz) worked hard to move up during Thursday night’s draft to grab Justise Winslow, the athletic wing out of Duke who tumbled for a minute before ending up going to Miami with the 10th overall pick. The Jazz loved the guy, but couldn’t snag him. No luck there.
