(Ersan) Ilyasova admitted the injury could affect his participation with Turkey in the FIBA Basketball World Cup, scheduled to be held in Spain in late August and early September.
“He (foot and ankle specialist Richard) (Ferkel) said, ‘It’s about your career,'” Ilyasova said. “I will discuss with it the federation and the national team and I will probably not go there. First things first. I have to figure out things and get it better.
“In July training camps start and that’s when we will start the discussion. Most likely I’m not going to go.”
