It Gets Worse: Extended Sterling Racist Rant Released

An extended version of the fight between Los Angeles Clippers owner and his girlfriend has been released, and Donald Sterling comes out looking even worse believe it or not.

The NBA was abuzz yesterday over the audio TMZ released of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making remarkably racist remarks during an argument with his girlfriend. The nine minute tape has some of the most important people in the league, including Miami HEAT star LeBron James, calling for Sterling to be outed from the league.

Believe it or not, it actually gets worse.

This morning an extended version of that tape was released by Deadspin. It’s six minutes extra minutes of Sterling allegedly re-stating his racist beliefs. The authenticity of the tape is still in question and the NBA has opted not to act yet as they investigate the matter. It’s important to note that the Clippers have made a statement on behalf of Sterling casting doubt on the audio and that it is illegal in the state of California to record someone without their knowledge and consent.

Suns’ Goodwin faces disorderly conduct charge

Phoenix Suns guard Archie Goodwin was arrested in his native Arkansas last week and charged with charged with disorderly conduct.

The 19-year-old, who completed his rookie season in the NBA last month, was taken into custody outside a skating rink in Little Rock on May 4 after he was told twice by authorities to stop cursing and being aggressive toward another person.

Goodwin then attempted to break away from a trooper after the arrest, said Arkansas State Police public information officer Bill Sadler.

Goodwin was booked into a Sherwood, Ark., jail. His court date is set for June 3, according to The Arizona Republic.

The former Kentucky player, who was selected No. 29 overall in the first round of the 2013 draft, saw action in 52 games with the Suns this past season and also spent time in the NBA Development League.

In the final game of the regular season, Goodwin turned in his best performance, scoring 29 points and making 11 of 13 shots from the field. He finished 2013-14 with averages of 3.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game.
