Jameer Nelson wants everyone to know he’s OK.

The text messages and phone calls started flooding in once the news broke that the Dallas Mavericks were about to trade him, Jae Crowder, Brandan Wright, a future conditional first-round pick, a future second-round pick and a large trade exception to the Boston Celtics for Rajon Rondo and Dwight Powell.

The Magic released Nelson on June 30, before the remaining $6 million of his $8 million salary for the 2014-15 season became fully guaranteed.

“I wish them nothing but the best of luck,” Nelson said. “It wasn’t a bitter situation when I left here. It wasn’t when I left Dallas. I’m not a guy who’ll hold grudges or anything. Obviously, I felt things could’ve been done different, but that’s not for me [to say]”
