Knicks’ D-League Team Jerseys to Feature Ads

The Westchester Knicks, the New York Knicks’ D-League team, will have advertisements on their jerseys this season.

The Knicks say that the team will have Chase logos on both home and away jerseys.

This is an interesting development because NBA commissioner Adam Silver said earlier this year that he expects NBA jerseys to have ads on them within the next five years.

“It just creates that much more of an opportunity for our marketing partners to get that much closer to our fans and to our players,” Silver said at a sports conference last March. “It gives us an opportunity just to have deeper integration when it comes to those forms of sponsorship.”
