Knicks’ J.R. Smith to Remain Starter?

(New York Knicks guard) Iman Shumpert didn’t get traded at Thursday’s deadline, but he may have lost his starting job to J.R. Smith.

With Shumpert out two weeks with a sprained MCL in his left knee, Smith will start Friday in Orlando. (Knicks head coach Mike) Woodson said he’ll “welcome him back with open arms,” but added that Smith could keep the starting job if things are going smoothly.
