Lakers’ Coach: Kobe Will Have Hard Cap on Minutes
This year, (Los Angeles Head Coach Byron) Scott said, he will stick to the plan. (Kobe) Bryant’s minutes cap will be a hard cap. And they will decide whether he should play in back-to-backs.
“We’ve got to stick to the guns,” he said. “If we agree on a certain amount of time we’re going to stick to it.”
Bryant staying healthy for an entire season would no doubt benefit Scott, who became the punching bag for many of the Lakers’ problems last season. He didn’t always help himself either, with comments that astonished modern-day basketball analysts.
