(Byron) Scott said he is hoping for the best Monday after (Kobe) Bryant meets with the specialist about his torn rotator cuff. The Lakers star is expected to decide whether to undergo season-ending surgery.

“I think we are all holding out hope that tomorrow it goes well, that they say there’s no surgery needed or anything like that,” Scott said. “(Maybe he needs) rehabilitation for a few weeks or a month maybe. That’s the positive part of what we hope happens, but then again, I have to wait until tomorrow.’
