Lehigh racked up a third consecutive win Wednesday, holding off Saint Francis (Pa.) 61-59 in Bethlehem, Pa.

The Mountain Hawks (3-4) earned their first home win of the season after two defeats. Lehigh started the season 0-4 before downing Penn State and DePaul in its past two games prior to Wednesday’s victory.

Lehigh, which jumped out to a 38-28 halftime lead, was paced by forward Justin Goldsborough, who finished with 15 points and seven rebounds. Guard Austin Price added 13 points for the Mountain Hawks, and center Tim Kempton had 10 points, including a crucial late free throw that put Lehigh up by two points with 13 seconds to play.

Saint Francis (3-4) rallied to tie the game at 51-51 with eight minutes left and took a one-point lead with under five minutes remaining.

Red Flash forward Eric Brown scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed six rebounds. Guard Dominique Major added 12 points in the loss, and forward Ronnie Drinnon chipped in 10 points.

Lehigh leads the all-time series against Saint Francis 9-3. The Mountain Hawks won for the ninth consecutive meeting.

Wednesday marked the final nonconference home game for Lehigh, which will play the remainder of its pre- Patriot League schedule on the road, starting Saturday at LIU Brooklyn.

Up next for Saint Francis is a Saturday home game against Albany.
