Numerous reports are pegging a new deal between Wizards free agent Marcin Gortat and the Washington Wizards as close.

Gortat is widely considered the best available center on the market and just finished his final contract year worth $7.7 million. The Wizards currently have a cap hold on his salary worth $11.5 million. His new deal is expected to start in that price range.
