The last time Boston Celtics fans saw Marcus Smart deliver a thumbs up, he was being carted off on a stretcher. But Wednesday night, the signal symbolized his return.
The 20-year-old still does not consider himself at full health and could see limited minutes against the Pistons. But he noted how the swelling has disappeared and said he has done ” a lot of cutting, jumping and full-out sprints” on the court “to get back and get those muscles back working.”
