COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Swingman Dez Wells and guard Melo Trimble scored 18 points apiece as No. 19 Maryland held on to beat Indiana 68-66 Wednesday before 15,304 fans at the Xfinity Center.

Hoosiers guard Yogi Ferrell finished with 23 points, but he missed a 3-pointer with about four seconds left and a 2-point try at the buzzer.

The Terps (20-5, 8-4) improved to 15-1 at home this season, including 6-0 against conference foes. Maryland is tied for second in the conference with Ohio State, which beat Penn State earlier Wednesday.

Wells missed the first free throw with 12.5 seconds left and hit the second to make it 68-66 before Maryland called time to set up their defense.
