A sore right Achilles tendon has sidelined aging Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki again. Nowitzki, 38, did not play Sunday night in Dallas’ 91-81 win over the New Orleans Pelicans, marking the 11th game he has missed this season.
“This is part of the recovery,” said Dallas coach Rick Carlisle, who added that he hopes Nowitzki is fully healthy at some point in December. “It’s part of getting him better. We’re going to take it incrementally. It’s not like there’s any big setback. It’s just not the right thing to play him tonight.”
