Minnesota Agrees To Trade Brewer To Rockets
Minnesota has agreed to trade Corey Brewer and Rony Turiaf to Houston with Houston sending Troy Daniels and possibly two second round picks, including a 2015 second-round pick via Kings to the Timberwolves.
Rockets held an $8.374m Traded Player Exception from the Jeremy Lin trade and were able to absorb Brewer’s $4.702m contract along with Turiaf’s $1.5 million deal, while only sending out Daniel’s $816,000 salary. Wolves will generate a Traded Player Exception for themselves worth roughly $5.38 million.
The Rockets are believed to be talking to additional teams trying to find a landing spot for Turiaf’s contract. Turiaf is out for the year due to hip surgery.
