The NBA advisory/finance committee met Wednesday regarding the Los Angeles Clippers, but made no final decision in the search for the team’s new CEO.

The following statement was issued by Mike Bass, executive vice president of communications:

“The Advisory/Finance Committee met again today via conference call. The committee reviewed the status of the search for a new CEO of the Los Angeles Clippers, was updated on meetings held this week between NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum and Clippers employees, and addressed the process and timing regarding the termination of Mr. Sterling’s ownership of the team. The committee will reconvene next week.”

Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned from the NBA for life and fined $2.5 million on April 29 by commissioner Adam Silver for racist remarks he made.

The NBA also announced last week that it will appoint a CEO to oversee the team’s day-to-day operations.

In the fallout from the Sterling ban, the NBA announced Tuesday that Clippers president Andy Roeser was taking an indefinite leave of absence.
