You hear the ball bouncing, the hardwood squealing and the twine slapping—you know it’s basketball time.

After the first few weeks of play in the 2014-15 season, there are already quite a few storylines worthy of holding your attention.

Can LeBron James really lead his Cleveland Cavaliers to the championship? Should they consider dealing Kyrie Irving? Or do they have it together now?

Can Derrick Rose stay healthy and prevent those Cavaliers from rising up? How are those knees and ankles doing?

Will the Oklahoma City Thunder dig themselves in too deep of a hole to find their way out of it even after Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook return?

How about those New York Knicks? Will Carmelo Anthony lead them back to the playoffs? Can Chris Paul really help the Los Angeles Clippers escape the Western Conference?

But the most important question (clearly) is obvious: Which team caught our eye and is deserving of being dubbed numero uno in the first edition of this season’s Basketball Insiders Power Rankings?

(The decision was actually quite difficult).
