The return of Kevin Durant, the thriving of the Houston Rockets and the Philadelphia 76ers finally busting the slump?

There were a lot of things to like across the league over the course of the past week, especially as we count down toward December 15. Rumors are beginning to circulate that a few teams who have gotten off to slow starts may be amenable to making a trade, and once December 15 rolls around, most players who signed new contracts last summer will become trade eligible.

As we count down the days until Christmas, we similarly count down the days until trade season officially begins.
