Nets, Motiejunas Agree to 4-Year, $37 Mil Offer Sheet
The Brooklyn Nets have signed Houston Rockets restricted free-agent forward Donatas Motiejunas to a four-year, $37 million offer sheet – with only a little more than half the money guaranteed – league sources told The Vertical.
The terms of the offer sheet – especially the ability to void the final two years of the contract – are expected to make it more palatable for the Rockets to match the offer and retain Motiejunas.
The Nets sent the offer sheet on Friday night to the Rockets, who will have 72 hours to match the deal with the clock starting at midnight – or let Motiejunas leave for Brooklyn.
