Nick Young Needs Surgery, Out 6-8 Weeks
Lakers forward Nick Young is anticipated to stay sidelined for six to eight weeks because of a torn ligament in his right thumb, his agent, Mark Bartelstein told this newspaper. The Lakers have not provided a timetable, and Bartelstein stressed that Young’s timetable will become more definitive once he has surgery on Monday with Dr. Steven Shin of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.
