The clock continues to tick toward Friday’s deadline for the Thunder to come to terms on a contract extension for guard Reggie Jackson.
But as the deadline nears, a deal appears unlikely to get done and talks will have to resume next summer when Jackson becomes a restricted free agent.
The Thunder can match any offer Jackson might receive next summer, and Thunder general manager Sam Presti repeatedly has made it clear that the franchise intends to keep Jackson.
