Dirk Nowitzki still has a little something left. The Dallas Mavericks forward scored 40 points in a win over the Portland Trail Blazers that kept the Dallas Mavericks tied for the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference.
What’s significant about Nowitzki scoring 40? It was his first 40-point game since Jan. 11, 2014, against the New Orleans Pelicans, but it also made him one of only four players in NBA history to score 40 after turning 37.
