The Funny, Stupid Thing of the Day

Everyone loves some good ol’ basketball fails to relieve some stress in your life. This great mix catches a lot of moments on the AAU circuit or the local rec league, but this still has some real quality moments. Our favorite? Around the one minute mark, the poor guy cherry-picks twice and still fails to get the bucket at the rim after three attempts! That sound you hear is his teammates locking him out of the gym for good.

In case there was any you missed, here’s a great mix of some of the best slams from the Las Vegas Summer League. Eric Griffin with the Mavericks’ team definitely got owner Mark Cuban’s attention with his two vicious slams.

This IG video will definitely make Bulls fans smile as Derrick Rose practices with Team USA. This awesome dunk won’t stop fans from looking over their shoulder for the injury bug, but this is a fantastic sign for the city of Chicago.

Everybody has been mourning after the tragic violence that has been erupting in Chicago recently, but Bulls center Joakim Noah is taking it upon himself to do something about it. Great to see a player step up to help his city in any way possible and stand as symbol for change.

Dunks of the Day

Jordan Brand stepped up to give fans a great dunk contest in Las Vegas recently. Crazy athleticism all-around with some amazing slams, but the one that really stands out to us and the judges is senior high school guard Shelby McEwen taking off from the free throw line to put down the slam at the 50 second mark.
