Portland Trail Blazers’ forward Al-Farouq Aminu is expected to miss two to three weeks with a right ankle sprain, the team announced on Thursday night.
Aminu suffered the injury with 2:13 left in the fourth quarter of Portland’s 112-103 overtime loss to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night. He rolled his ankle while battling for a rebound and limped to the bench on the next defensive possession.
In eight games, Aminu is averaging 9.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and a team-high 1.3 blocks in 30.2 minutes per game.
