Missouri coach Frank Haith is close to reaching an agreement to take the vacant job at Tulsa, multiple reports indicated Thursday.

The Tulsa opening was created with Danny Manning left earlier this month after leading the Golden Hurricane into the NCAA Tournament to become the head coach at Wake Forest. CBSSports.com reported that Tulsa would pay up to $1 million per year to lure Haith away from Missouri.

Haith came to Missouri from the University of Miami and led the Tigers to two NCAA Tournament berths in his three seasons at the school, compiling a 76-28 record. Missouri played in the NIT this past season.

Off the court, Missouri players have run into trouble during Haith’s brief tenture. The latest incident involved the arrest and removal of Louisville transfer Zach Price from the program after he allegedly assaulted former teammate Earnest Ross and his girlfriend.
