Report: Nets Exercise Options on Jarrett Allen, Dzanan Musa

The Brooklyn Nets have exercised the 2020-21 contract options for center Jarrett Allen and guard/forward Dzanan Musa.

Allen appeared in 80 games (all starts) in the 2018-19 season, registering averages of 10.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.4 assists in 26.2 minutes per game.

Musa appeared in nine games during his rookie season in 2018-19 and averaged 2.1 points in 4.4 minutes per contest. The 20-year-old also appeared in 36 games (34 starts) for Brooklyn’s NBA G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, last season, averaging 19.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 31.6 minutes per game.

Report: Rockets Waie Ryan Anderson

Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey today announced that the team has waived forward Ryan Anderson.

Anderson appeared in two games for the Rockets this season.  He also spent two seasons with Houston from 2016-17 through 2017-18.  All totaled, Anderson has played in 140 games with 122 starts as a Rocket, averaging 11.4 points and 4.8 rebounds.

Oshae Brissett has been recalled from Raptors 905 for tonight, as Stanley Johnson is out with a stress reaction* in his groin.


The stress reaction is considered slight, but Johnson is expected to sit about two weeks to try to get to 100%, per a source.
