Sources: Jared Dudley Interested in Signing with Celtics in Offseason

Free agency begins July 1 and there is already one player interested in joining the Celtics. Former Boston College swingman Jared Dudley, who enjoyed a solid bounce-back year for the Brooklyn Nets as a team leader, agitator, and 3-pointer shooter, is interested in returning to his college city to play for the Celtics, according to a league source. Dudley turns 34 in July and played in 59 games for the Nets, starting 25.

The Portland Trail Blazers will amend Carmelo Anthony’s contract so that it becomes fully guaranteed for the remainder of the season, league sources told ESPN.

Portland had until early January to fully guarantee the deal for the season. Anthony, 35, had signed a non-guaranteed contract last month.

Sources: Kyrie Irving Could Miss a ‘few more’ Weeks with Shoulder Injury

The Nets have been about as transparent as a brick wall when it comes to Kyrie Irving’s shoulder injury. But the star’s absence is approaching three weeks, and multiple sources told The Post he could need a few more — if he’s lucky.

Irving missed his 10th straight game Wednesday with what the Nets termed a shoulder impingement. He also has already been ruled out for Friday night’s game in Charlotte.

Two specialists told The Post that Irving is likely to be out a few more weeks. One medical source not affiliated with the team intimated there’s more under the surface and that this injury could be even more long term.

Sources: Knicks Not Any Closer to Firing David Fizdale

If David Fizdale is going to be made the scapegoat by Knicks president Steve Mills for his hodgepodge roster, it’s going to take a little while longer.

According to an NBA source, Monday’s 44-point blowout loss in Milwaukee did not put the Knicks coach in any immediate danger, as bad as the optics were. Fizdale, though, must still show a modicum of progress as the winter deepens.

The Knicks host Denver on Thursday and Indiana on Saturday before a grueling four-game western trip that begins with Carmelo Anthony’s Blazers in Portland.
