The infection in Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard’s right eye has spread to his left eye and he will be held out of Saturday’s pre-season game against the Miami Heat at AT&T Center. The 23-year-old starter at small forward likely will miss the remainder of the pre-season schedule and the regular season opener against the Dallas Mavericks would appear to be up in the air, according to a timetable for his recovery set forth by Coach Gregg Popovich.

“Kawhi Leonard is still out, for 10 more days,” Popovich said before tipoff of Saturday’s game. “(The infection) is going back and forth between the two (eyes). It’s crazy.”
