“This summer is really exciting. I (Jared Sullinger) can’t wait to start this summer off and see where it takes me. It’s going to be big-time. It’s going to be huge for me,” he said Wednesday at McLaughlin Middle School in Manchester, N.H, where the Celtics revealed a state-of-the-art computer lab with partner Southern New Hampshire University. “Danny (Ainge) is right. I really don’t know how good I can be.”

Head coach Brad Stevens recently met with Sullinger for an exit interview to determine the course of his summer workouts. Stevens spent a lot of time formulating the best way for players to approach the offseason, and one can imagine parts of his message to Sullinger: slim down, get more comfortable at the 3-point arc, figure out a better way to impede taller opponents near the rim.

“Coach told me what he’s seen. Coach told me what I can do better. And Coach was brutally honest,” Sullinger said. “I thought that was tremendous going into those exit meetings. Now I know what he’s looking for. Sometimes you can’t really say stuff during the season because you don’t really want to change what’s going on throughout the season. But now that the season’s over, he came at me, told me what he wants, told me what he needs from me. Now it’s just time to change and play my game.
