Coach Billy Kennedy has agreed to a new five-year contract with Texas A&M, the school announced Saturday.
Terms were not disclosed.
“I am extremely appreciative of the support and confidence that Texas A&M has demonstrated to me and to our staff,” Kennedy said in a statement. “This has been a team effort, and I am blessed to be coaching such a fine group of young men at an outstanding university. We still have a lot of work left to do this season, and I look forward to leading the Aggies for many years.”

76ers’ Joel Embiid Listed as Doubtful for Game 3 in Miami
All-Star center Joel Embiid is doubtful for Game 3 of the Philadelphia 76ers’ first-round series against the Heat on Thursday.
The series is tied 1-1, and Embiid has missed both games.

Cavs’ Love Suffers Torn Ligament in Thumb, Will Play in Game 3
Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love suffered a partially torn ligament in his left thumb in Wednesday night’s Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers, sources told ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
Despite the injury, head coach Tyronn Lue said Love will be “ready to go” in Game 3 on Friday in Indianapolis. X-rays taken after the game came back negative. The Cavs won 100-97 to tie the Eastern Conference first-round series at 1-1.
