Freshman guard Julion Pearre scored a career-high 19 points, helping Utah State beat Fresno State 85-79 on Saturday night at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah.

Junior guard Darius Perkins also scored 19 points for Utah State (16-10, 9-5 Mountain West Conference), which has won four in a row. Freshman forward David Collette had 16 points and sophomore forward Jalen Moore added 11.

Junior guard Julien Lewis scored 21 points to lead Fresno State (12-15, 7-7). Junior guard Marvelle Harris had 17 points, junior guard Cezar Guerrero 14 and sophomore forward Paul Watson 12.

Utah State took a 19-14 lead on a 3-pointer by sophomore guard JoJo McGlaston with 10:46 to play in the first half. The Aggies went up 32-24 on a 3-pointer by Pearre with 3:16 to go, but the Bulldogs cut the lead to four on a 3-pointer by Guerrero with 11 seconds left.

The Bulldogs reduced the deficit to two early in the second half, but Perkins made two 3-pointers to fuel a 9-1 run, putting the Aggies up 49-39 with 15:56 to go.

Fresno State cut the lead to three on a 3-pointer by Harris with 1:20 remaining, but Perkins answered with a 3-pointer at the other end.
