OAKLAND, Calif. — Reserve guard Jordan Crawford scored 10 consecutive points in a 100-second flurry bridging the first and second periods Tuesday night, igniting a Golden State Warriors runaway that eventually resulted in a 108-85 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

In a game that pitted the Nos. 6 and 7 teams in the Western Conference playoff race, the Warriors (41-24) recorded a fifth consecutive win and moved three games up on the Mavericks (38-27).

Opening a three-game road trip, Dallas led by as many as eight in the early going. But things changed for the good once Warriors coach Mark Jackson went to his bench late in the first quarter.

Golden State reserves made four field goals — all but one a 3-pointer — in the final 2:54 of the period, capped by Crawford’s first basket, a buzzer-beating 21-pointer that concluded a 12-2 burst that put the Warriors up 29-22.

The quarter ended, but Crawford’s offensive outburst had just begun. The Warriors’ in-season acquisition from Boston opened the second period with two close-range shots, then added a 26-foot 3-pointer to complete his personal 10-point flurry that single-handedly pushed the Golden State lead to 36-24.

With starting center Andrew Bogut enjoying a 15-point, six-rebound half, the Warriors went up by as many as 18 in the second period en route to a 55-44 advantage at the break. The Mavericks were never closer than nine in the second half.

Hitting eight of his 12 shots, Crawford finished with 19 points to lead five players in double figures for the Warriors, who closed out a 3-0 homestand.

Bogut had a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double and shooting guard Klay Thompson contributed 14 points as Golden State won for a league-best 10th time since the All-Star break to go 17 games over .500 for the first time this season.

Point guard Stephen Curry added 10 points, three coming when he successfully ran his streak of games with at least one 3-pointer to a league-best 53 in the fourth quarter. The 3 was his 199th of the season, leaving him one short of becoming just the sixth player in NBA history to record at least 200 3’s in consecutive seasons.

Shooting guard Monta Ellis had 15 points to pace the Mavericks, who lost their third consecutive road game.

Point guard Jose Calderon had 13 points and power forward Dirk Nowitzki, despite 4-for-11 shooting, added 12 as the Mavericks fell behind Golden State 2-1 in the season series with still one game remaining at Dallas on April 1.

The Mavericks shot just 36.6 percent in the loss and were held below 100 points for just the second time in their last 11 games.

Dallas played the final 32 minutes without backup guard Devin Harris, who suffered a strained right Achilles in the second quarter.

NOTES: The Mavericks and Warriors have not made the playoffs in the same season since 2007. … Dallas coach Rick Carlisle admitted before the game that he enjoys the pressure of a playoff race, saying, “This is what it’s all about. If you don’t love this kind of challenge, then there’s another line of work that’s probably better for you.” … The first five NBA players with 200 or more 3-pointers in consecutive seasons were SG Ray Allen, PG Mookie Blaylock, SF Rashard Lewis, SG Mitch Richmond and PF Antoine Walker. … After limiting SG Stephen Curry to 30 minutes in each of the previous two games as he deals with a strained quad, Warriors coach Mark Jackson said he would continue to be cautious with his All-Star. “It’s important for him not to play long, long stretches,” Jackson said. … The game matched the league leaders in catch-and-shoot points. Warriors SG Klay Thompson began the day first in the category at 575, followed by Mavericks PF Dirk Nowitzki at 523.
