Golden State Warriors forward David Lee will not to play in the team’s next two games against the Houston Rockets and the Phoenix Suns after aggravating his strained left hamstring Wednesday, coach Steve Kerr said.

Lee might miss additional games as well.

Lee was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam Thursday afternoon, and results of that test will provide a better indication of how long Lee will be sidelined.

Lee originally suffered the injury on Oct. 24. In his first game back from that hamstring problem, Lee lasted just seven minutes on Wednesday before he had to return to the locker room.

“We probably have to be a little more cautious this time,” Kerr told the Contra Costa Times regarding a timeline for Lee’s return.

Lee, 31, averaged 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game last season and scored six points off the bench Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Draymond Green replaced Lee in the starting lineup in the first four games and scored a career-high 24 points Wednesday.
