Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal may have a serious wrist injury, according to the Washington Post.

Beal sustained the injury to his left wrist during Friday’s preseason game against the Charlotte Hornets.

According to the report, Beal could be out for a while. The Post quoted a source as describing the severity of the injury as “not good” and that no timetable was given for how long Beal will be out.

Beal landed on the wrist late in the first quarter when he was fouled by Hornets forward P.J. Hairston. He exited the game soon after making his free throws. The Wizards said the injury was a sprain.

Beal averaged 17.1 points per game last season, his second in the NBA.
