Washington Wizards forward Drew Gooden was $15,000 by the NBA on Saturday for his actions in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The league announced that Gooden committed an unnecessary act by clamping Los Angeles Lakers forward-guard Nick Young’s arm and attempting to throw him to the floor on Friday night.

Gooden was called for a flagrant-2 foul and ejected with 2:14 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Wizards’ 117-107 victory over the Lakers at the Staples Center.

Young said after the game that Gooden’s actions were uncalled for and over-aggressive. Gooden tangled with Young during a boxout and yanked him from the key area.

“I felt like he was trying to WWF me, flip me over; he had my arm locked,” Young said.

Young finished with 21 points off the bench.
