After falling behind by 15 points while playing without its star forward, Wyoming rallied to an improbable 64-58 win over Nevada on Tuesday night at Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev.

Wyoming (21-6, 10-4 Mountain West) scored just 13 points in the first half and was down by 14 at intermission. However, the Cowboys dominated the second half behind a strong effort from guard Josh Adams, who scored 18 points, and forward Derek Cooke Jr., who had 14 points and nine rebounds. Guard Jason McManamen added 11 points.

The Cowboys were missing preseason MW player of the year Larry Nance Jr., who has mononucleosis, for the fourth consecutive game, and they looked lost early. Wyoming missed its first nine 3-point attempts, its first six free throws and shot just 26.1 percent in the first half. However, the Cowboys responded by shooting 61.5 percent in the second half, hitting five of eight 3-point tries after intermission.

One game after digging out of a 15-point, second-half hole to beat New Mexico, Nevada collapsed in this one. The Wolf Pack (8-17, 4-9) built a big lead after a 23-2 run in the first half but slowly watched it melt away in the second half. Forward AJ West scored 18 points (on 6-of-6 shooting) to go with 19 rebounds, three blocks and two assists.
