2016-17 Team-By-Team Salary Summary

The NBA's salary cap for the 2016-17 season is a record $94,143,000.

Maximum salaries will start at $22,116,750 for players with up to six years of experience, $26,540,100 for those with seven to nine and $30,960,450 for those in the league for 10 years or more.

To generate additional spending power, teams can make trades and/or buy-out (and stretch) players.

Meanwhile, the luxury tax threshold is set at $113,287,000, with the hard cap is $117,287,000, but that only applies to teams that have used their Mid-Level Exception (MLE, $5,628.000), Bi-Annual Exception (BAE, $2,203,000) or acquired a player via sign and trade.

Teams that go under the cap gain a $2,898,000 room exception but lose their MLE, BAE and any trade exceptions.

Hard-capped teams can spend the taxpayer mid-level exception of $3,477,000 but not the full MLE or BAE.
